How to tell the truth and empower other women

If you could wave a magic wand and ask any woman you view as "successful" any question- What would you ask? It would be wonderful if we knew for certain she would answer us honestly. It would be so empowering to ask, "How did you do it?" and have them tell us the unvarnished truth.

It is very tough to be a successful professional woman by any definition of the word "success". The path to success is different for everyone and every story can, and will, help another woman learn how to overcome, endure, jump over, push through, negotiate and come out on the other side.  Think about how many of YOUR stories would help other women. Think about how many times you wished you had the answers or had a friend who would share with you how they did it or a colleague tell you how they managed to get through a frustrating time.

It is very powerful to know you are not alone in your struggles. It is empowering to hear others share their journey to success.

What if you knew someone has the exact same fears and struggles AND she succeeded? Would that simple fact help you feel like you could make it through this rough patch in your career or life? Would it give you Courage, Empowerment, Confidence, Strength? I am sure it would.

The next time you are telling your own success story, or posting perfect pictures on social media, also share the truth about HOW you made this success happen.

It's time to tell each other the truth about how we got to where we are instead of making it look so easy. It is empowering to our sisters, daughters, sons and colleagues to share your story. When you are honest about how you were able to do it, I guarantee you will make someone's day by letting them know they are not alone in their struggle. That's why and how to the the truth and empower other women.

Make it a great week! PS—This video is my most viewed on YouTube and it's over 2 years old. That tells us that this topic still resonates and women are looking for the Truth.
